01

Discovery Flight

Sit up front and actually fly the airplane with an instructor beside you. A short, low-commitment intro flight. Credits toward training if you enroll.

02

Private Pilot (PPL)

Your first real license. Fly friends and family in daytime VFR conditions — the foundation every other rating builds on.

03

Instrument Rating

Learn to fly by the instruments alone, in cloud and low visibility. The rating that makes you a truly all-weather pilot.

01

Commercial Pilot

Train to fly for a living. The certificate you need before instructing, charter, or an airline career path.

02

Ground School

The classroom side — airspace, weather, and everything on the FAA written exam. Study with us and walk into the test ready.

03

Financing Guidance

Flight training is more affordable than most people assume. We'll walk you through the real options — Sallie Mae, Stratus, and the AOPA line of credit among them.

01

Gift Certificates

Give someone their first flight. A discovery-flight gift certificate is the present people actually remember — popular around the holidays.

02

Aircraft Rental

Already a certificated pilot? Rent our well-maintained trainers to stay current and keep flying, on your own schedule.

03

Scenic Flights

A guided flight over the desert and mountains for photos and the view — no license, no commitment, just the experience.

Why learn to fly with Fly Erken Flight Academy

  • 300+ clear-sky flying days a year — lessons actually happen instead of getting scrubbed

  • Wide-open desert practice airspace, minutes from Deer Valley, Scottsdale, Glendale & Chandler

  • FAA-certified instructors who fly with you personally — not an academy front desk

  • A clear path from your first discovery flight all the way to a career, one rating at a time

  • Your call is answered any time — even when every instructor is up in the air

Fly Erken Flight Academy is a small, personal flight school in the Phoenix metro. Arizona gives student pilots something most of the country cannot: consistent VFR weather and uncrowded airspace, so you make steady progress instead of losing momentum to cancelled lessons. Train at a shop where the person who answers the phone is the person who flies with you — real airplanes, real instructors, no factory line.

What our Valuable Customer Say About Us

I started and went from zero to hero and had an amazing experience. The planes were top notch, well maintained and for the most part, available to be scheduled. All my instructors were professional and courteous.

Every interaction I had with management, they took the time to listen to my concerns and come up with a solution to get through any challenge.

I couldn't have seen myself going anywhere else for flight training.

Feedback

UND Aerospace at Phoenix Mesa Gateway airport is much more than a flight school. This flight training organization has a fleet of near-new G1000-equipped Piper Archers for primary and instrument training. The atmosphere is professional, yet friendly and welcoming. A great place to learn to fly, especially for the career-minded aviation professional.
